Threat Interception Team-Juliet vs. Team Dosu is a battle that takes place during Season Four. It is a battle between the members of SNIS Threat Interception Team-Juliet, with Mathew Withau joining the fray later on, against the members of Team Dosu who are under the command and control of Orochimaru.

Prelude[]

Following his battle with Matt, Orochimaru seeks isolation, where he uses the Summoning Jutsu: Impure World Resurrection to revive the fallen members of Team Dosu. Dosu, Zaku and Kin question what they are doing there and why they are alive once more. Orochimaru assigns them the task of testing Matt's abilities after being given a Curse Mark by Orochimaru himself. Taking free will on the part of Team Dosu out of the equation, Orochimaru takes amusement at the reincarnated shinobis' resistance towards him. Meanwhile, after Matt has left TIT-Juliet, the remaining members go off in search of him, battling multiple Decepticlone teams along the way. They eventually encounter a farmer that gives them information on something nearby that might be Matt. Nichi leads her team in pursuit of this lead and comes to the aftermath of a battle. While searching the area, they eventually locate Matt, and Nichi runs to him without noticing the members of Team Dosu watching from the shadows. Nichi checks Matt's unconscious body, seeing various injuries from multiple sources, but concludes that he is overall okay. TIT-Juliet decides to rest there for the night, and Team Dosu waits until the next day to make their move.

As daytime returns, Team Dosu confronts the members of TIT-Juliet. The members of TIT-Juliet all point their blasters at the newcomers, who are unfazed. Zaku is discontent at the prospect of fighting a trio of girls, but Dosu tells him to take caution, as Matt could wake up at any moment. Zaku states that he knows, but they cannot be killed due to the Impure World Resurrection. Nichi asks what he is referring to, and Zaku states that she wouldn't understand. He then demands to fight Matt, but Nichi tells him that since Matt is unconscious, he will have to settle for her and her team instead. Zaku is amused at the prospect of Nichi and her team fighting with nothing but their blasters, and he prepares to fight them. He tells Dosu and Kin to stay back, and as Nichi, Taylor, and Erin ready their blasters, Zaku decides that he will not use ninjutsu on them yet.

Battle[]

Zaku charges all three of them, but they all dive out of the way, leaving Zaku an open path to Matt. Nichi sees this and aims her blaster, but Zaku tells her to get lost and throws a kunai down at her. Nichi blasts the kunai out of the air and holds Zaku in her sights, and Erin fires a blast at his head from behind, which Zaku avoids. Zaku then attacks Erin directly, and while she tries to defend against him, he knocks her into a tree. Taylor then fires her blaster unsuccessfully, prompting Zaku to confront her next. Nichi tells Zaku to stay away from her team and fires a barrage of blasts, but Zaku avoids these as well and charges Nichi. Nichi evades him, and Zaku throws a kunai down at her, which Nichi dodges before firing her blaster at him. Zaku avoids these and throws shuriken at Nichi, who uses her blaster to block them. Nichi attempts to attack again, but Zaku slips past her guard, telling her that she is not going to get anywhere if she keeps hesitating, and throws her into a tree. Zaku then advances on Taylor, who is too scared to counterattack, and Nichi fires several blasts that hit Zaku in the back. Zaku angrily curses at Nichi before declaring that he is done with them. He then uses the Slicing Sound Wave against Nichi, who is barely able to avoid it as it destroys a tree behind her.

As Zaku prepares to fire again, Nichi fires her blaster at him, but he uses the [[Sound Wall] to defend against the blaster fire. He then uses the Slicing Sound Wave once more, and when she dodges this as well, Zaku angrily prepares to attack her. A blast barely misses Zaku, and he turns around to see Taylor aiming her blaster at him. Zaku asks if she wants some too, and Nichi takes the opportunity to shoot him in the back several times. Zaku screams in anger and fires a wave of concentrated air pressure at Nichi, hitting her directly and grievously injuring her. As Taylor yells out, Zaku makes his way towards her, scaring her into helplessness. Nichi manages to recover from the recent attack enough to fire three blasts into the back of Zaku's head, knocking him to the ground and leaving him motionless. As Nichi walks forward to examine Zaku's injuries, he appears to be dead, but she notices that Zaku's back injuries have disappeared just before Zaku attacks. He fires a wave of wind that blasts up the ground around him, knocking Nichi back as Zaku gets to his feet. Dosu tells Zaku that he has gotten sloppy, and Zaku retorts that he hasn't had a chance to battle in a while. He then asks how long it has been since the three of them were killed, catching Nichi's attention. Dosu determines that it must have been a long time due to the technology that Nichi and her team fights with.

Nichi then gets Zaku's attention, asking him what he meant when he said that they had been killed. Zaku indulges her question in amusement, explaining to her the concepts of the Impure World Resurrection. Nichi is confused by all of the information pertaining to the Shinobi World, to which she has no knowledge, but she deduces that it all has to do with Matt, and the truth of who he is. Zaku then declares that because of the Impure World Resurrection, he and his team can't be killed, and he fires another Slicing Sound Wave at Nichi. Nichi evades this and fires her blaster at Zaku, but Zaku takes the blasts without flinching and attacks her once again. Zaku reaches his hand out and unleashes a massive shockwave that blasts the ground up around the two of them, concealing them in dust. Their teammates watch this with varying reactions, and when the dust clears, Zaku has Nichi pinned to the ground underfoot. As Zaku looks down at her, he states that it is about time, and Nichi looks over as Matt rises to his feet with his Curse Mark active. There is spiked rock on Matt's hand, which eventually recedes into his skin to reveal his Curse Mark. Matt thinks about how much stronger he feels while Taylor and Erin look at him with appalled expressions. As Matt notices Nichi pinned by Zaku, he attacks, violently blasting Zaku off of Nichi while getting her to safety. As Matt tells her to rest, he faces the members of Team Dosu and tells them that he is going to kill them for hurting his family.

Matt then super-speeds behind Zaku and attacks him, but Zaku rolls away while Matt fires a Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu at him. Zaku is hit directly and caught in a powerful blast of flames, and as he turns to Dosu and Kin, Zaku attacks him with a Slicing Sound Wave. Matt evades the attack, coming out in a tree, and he activates a Chidori and super-speeds behind him once again, fatally injuring Zaku with his technique. When Zaku gets back up, Matt asks why he won't die. Zaku explains that the Impure Resurrection technique with which they were revived makes them immortal, because they are already dead. Zaku then attacks Matt with a Slicing Sound Wave, and Matt evades this, coming above Zaku and firing a Fire Style: Nova Flame Jutsu down at him. Zaku takes a direct hit from the technique while Matt uses a Flight Jutsu to keep himself elevated, but Zaku fires a Slicing Sound Wave out of the flames at him. Matt evades this and lands on the ground, and Zaku charges him with his wind and sound powers active. Matt uses the Earth Style: Terra Shield to defend himself, and while Zaku blows a hole into the shield, the earthen wall remains intact. Matt then flies back while the paper-bomb he placed on the Terra Shield detonates, blasting Zaku directly. Matt then throws multiple fire-kunai down at him, engulfing Zaku in a tremendous explosion while Matt steers clear of the carnage. As the flames die down, Zaku emerges severely injured, but with a manic grin on his face.

Zaku's wounds heal due to the Impure World Resurrection, and Dosu tells Zaku that he has gotten slow. Zaku tells Dosu to shut up, as Matt is better than he anticipated, but he will still kill him. Matt states it is time to take the battle one step further, and Zaku attacks him with a Slicing Sound Wave. Matt evades the attack with his immense speed, and he emerges behind Zaku and fires off a Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu. As Zaku is caught head-on in the torrent of flames, Dosu comments that even if he had not been a sacrifice for Orochimaru's technique, he would have been dead a long time ago. Matt is surprised to hear of Team Dosu's association with Orochimaru, while Zaku unsuccessfully attacks him with a Slicing Sound Wave. Matt, commenting that Zaku doesn't give up, evades the attack and Zaku emerges with a demented grin on his face. Matt stands on a tree branch above him with a Rasengan prepared, and Matt leaps down at him and hits him directly with the technique. When the resulting explosion dies down, Zaku heals while stating that there is no doubt that Matt is strong. Zaku goes on to state that he has been going easy on Matt so far, but since this has not been working, he will now use his full strength. Matt is shocked at Zaku's portrayed insanity, and he comments that no matter how many times they fight, the results will not change. Zaku then attacks him with a Super Sound Wave, but Matt dodges this jutsu as easily as any of Zaku's other techniques. While in the air, Matt fires a Fireball Jutsu down at Zaku, who counters with a Slicing Sound Wave. The Sound Wave penetrates through the Fireball, and Matt uses the Wind Style: Air Shield to block the attack.

Zaku is disturbed by something now, and when Matt asks what it is, Zaku comments on him having used four Chakra Natures so far in the battle. When asked what he is, Matt tells Zaku that he is a barer of Rinnegan. Zaku immediately grows fearful at this and calls to Dosu for help, and Dosu immediately prepares to enter the fight himself. Kin then asks what the Rinnegan is, and Dosu tells her that it allows Matt to wield all six Chakra Natures. Kin is shocked by this, and Matt proves this by using the Water Style: Liquid Bullets. Zaku avoids these and fires a Super Sound Wave at Matt, but this is evaded as well. Zaku follows up with a Blasting Sound Wave, but Matt avoids this and comes behind Zaku, attacking with a Nova Flame Jutsu. Matt states that he is not finished as he uses a Wind Style: Gust Current to blow the flames resulting from the Nova Flame up into a tornado of fire with Zaku caught within. Matt backs off and fires multiple Liquid Bullets into the twister, creating an explosion of steam hot enough to completely burn up Zaku's body. As Zaku is reduced to a black and bloody corpse, Dosu wonders if Matt actually managed to kill him. However, Zaku recovers, aggravating Matt, and when he is fully regenerated, he states that it is clear he could never defeat Matt. However, he states that he might be able to hurt him enough to hinder him in his coming fight with Dosu. Zaku then focuses his Chakra and uses his most powerful jutsu, the Supersonic Slicing Wave. Matt appears to have been hit with the incredibly destructive technique, and for several minutes he does not emerge. His allies eventually grow fearful, and Zaku triumphantly declares that Matt must have been caught off guard.

However, Matt, reemerges several minutes later, hitting Zaku and knocking him into the air. He then performs the Lion's Barrage on Zaku, knocking him into a Tripwire Trap that he had installed. With Zaku completely immobilized and unable to continue fighting, Matt turns on Dosu and Kin, and Dosu prepares himself, stating that Matt's fight is now with him. However, Kin steps forward, stating that Dosu does not need to bother himself and that she is stronger than Zaku. Matt attacks Kin with astonishing speed and strength, taking her down in a single strike and disproving her claim to be superior to Zaku. Matt then turns on Dosu, who notes his exhaustion due to his battle with Zaku. Matt does not deny this claim, and Dosu attacks him, prompting Matt to defend himself. The two connect arms, and while Matt is successful in blocking the physical attack, Dosu uses his Sound Amplification Jutsu to attacks him with a wave of concentrated sound. Matt is stunned by the attack, but when Dosu prepares to finish him off, Matt disappears, leaving Dosu shocked. Dosu looks for Matt and quickly finds him, and Matt states that while Dosu is stronger than he thought, he still will not be able to defeat him. Dosu prepares to put Matt's claim to the test, to which Matt responds with gusto. Matt attacks Dosu with several shuriken, distracting him while he uses his speed to get behind Dosu, attacking him with a fire-kunai. Dosu is caught directly in the explosion, and Matt uses the Fire Style: Nova Flame Jutsu to deal further damage. Dosu survives the explosion while Matt throws several more shuriken down at him with tripwires attached to each. Dosu flicks his Sound Amplifier, creating a sound wave that knocks all of the shuriken out of the air.

Matt then appears in front of Dosu and punches him up into the air, and Dosu lands against a tree while Matt throws ten more shuriken with tripwires attached. The tripwires wrap around Dosu, binding him in place and immobilizing him. Matt prepares to use the Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu before realizing that such a powerful technique would drain his Chakra to dangerous levels. However, he realizes that Dosu is bound, and he doesn't need to do anything more. Dosu then reveals himself to be a Substitution Jutsu, and he attacks Matt from behind. Matt is knocked back, and he uses his Healing Medicine to regenerate his wounds. Dosu states that he will allow this as Matt is not immortal before attacking him. Matt evades Dosu's attack by escaping into the air, where he fires a Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu at Dosu. Dosu uses his Sound Amplifier combined with his Sound Amplification Jutsu to extinguish the jutsu, and Matt lands on the ground and attacks Dosu. The two exchange blows before Dosu throws Matt away, but Matt immediately recovers and fires a Fireball Jutsu at Dosu. Dosu avoids the jutsu and attacks Matt, and when Matt tries to counter with a kunai, Dosu knocks the knife out of his hand (albeit being severely injured in the process), and Dosu hits Matt, knocking him away. Matt charges back in and attacks, but Dosu intercepts his fist with his Sound Amplifier, cracking Matt's knuckles open. Matt then attacks Dosu with a fire-kunai, but Dosu emerges from the attack unharmed, stating that it will take more than that to defeat him. Matt feels that he will be unable to win the fight, when his Curse Mark suddenly flares, giving him renewed strength and causing him to continue fighting.

Matt activates a Chidori, and Dosu charges him. Matt uses the technique to create a blast that stops Dosu in his tracks, and Matt follows up by kiccking Dosu away. Matt then hits Dosu with several kunai, but Dosu removes them all from his body, causing his wounds to regenerate while he prepares to fight back. However, Matt counters him and knocks him to the ground, and he approaches Dosu to continue while the latter gets back to his feet. Dosu counterattacks, and while Matt fends him off at first, Dosu uses the Sound Pulse to hit Matt with a blast of sound, knocking Matt of his feet and throwing Dosu the advantage in the fight. Matt counters, hitting Dosu directly with a Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu while he escapes from the blaze. Dosu fires a wave of sound from the flames that Matt avoids, and when he lands on the ground, Dosu attacks him directly. Matt defends against the attack but is hit with a wave of sound emanating from Dosu's amplifier, injuring Matt and knocking him off his feet. As Dosu prepares to finish him, Matt grabs his ankle and runs a Chidori through Dosu's body, electrocuting him and knocking him off. Matt rises to his feet, and Dosu sends a wave of sound across the ground, destroying the earth as it comes at Matt, and Matt jumps out of the way. Dosu throws a kunai at Matt while he is in the air, but Matt blocks this with a knife of his own which he then throws at Dosu, who blocks it with his Amplifier. Dosu then fires a wave of sound up at Matt, who super-speeds out of the way and appears behind Dosu, bent down to the ground. Dosu states that he will not fall for that trick, and he swings his arm around, hitting Matt with a wave of sound and knocking him back across the ground.

Dosu attacks Matt while he is on the ground, but Matt evades the strike, and Dosu follows up by firing another wave of sound across the ground at him. Matt uses the Earth Style: Terra Shield to defend against the attack, but the Shield is blown apart by the sound wave. Matt is injured by the explosion, and Dosu uses this to attack again, striking Matt with his fist that is enhanced with sound energy. A large explosion occurs as a result of the attack, and Dosu backs away while Matt is concealed in the dust. However, the dust clears to reveal Matt on his feet, wielding a purple Chidori that is enhanced with the Curse Mark and much more powerful. Dosu is shocked by this sight, and Matt closes in with his technique, hitting Dosu directly with the super-powered Chidori. The jutsu causes an immense explosion, concealing both Matt and Dosu.

Aftermath[]

The explosion eventually clears to reveal Matt pinning Dosu to the ground underfoot. Dosu has sustained catastrophic injury from the jutsu, and after a moment of Dosu not moving, Matt turns around and walks away. However, Dosu finally gets back to his feet with his wounds healing due to the Impure World Resurrection. Matt prepares to fight some more, but Dosu desperately pleas with him to stop. Dosu states that his team was sent there to test Matt's powers, and that he now knows they could never defeat the young shinobi as he is. Dosu then frees Zaku from the Tripwire Trap, and Zaku grabs Kin's unconscious body. Dosu states that the next time they meet, the results will be different, and Zaku says goodbye to Matt as the three of them retreat.
